Weddings

Many couples want their wedding to be a happy, informal, relaxed occasion, but also one that is deeply significant and personal. Others prefer a more formal, elegant, dignified occasion, with beautiful words, music and rituals, but also one which reflects your own personal desires. It if most important to 'be yourselves'. I am sure you want a warm, smiling, flexible and confident celebrant who delights is sharing your special day. I invite you to come to meet me.

My wedding celebrancy services include the following:

• A 'no obligation' meeting at my North Carlton office so that you can decide if I am the celebrant whom you would like to perform your ceremony. When I am advised that this is so, the date of your ceremony is entered in my diary.

• A meeting to sign a Notice of Intended Marriage document. You will require birth certificates or passports and decrees absolute if appropriate. This is also an opportunity to share general ideas about anything connected with the event. I will give you suggestions and a folder of information (also available electronically) to assist you to plan an individualised ceremony to suit your desires. A pre-payment is made at this stage to confirm the booking.
  
  
• When you are ready, we liaise, in person or by phone, fax or email, about your ideas about the ceremony and I make suggestions about special touches for your consideration. I have a range of resources - books, CDs, videos, folders of ideas re venues, special touches etc which I am happy to share.

• I provide a list of questions about your relationship. You may like to answer these (in person, print or email) to help me compile a truly personal ceremony for you. We meet as often as is necessary. We aim to produce a completed document for the wedding format and words by at least two weeks before the actual date.
  
  
• I give you of a range of current information about marriage and relationship education. (This is required by law.)
  
  
• For couples who cannot meet with me in person, I will communicate by phone and email as necessary to provide the above services.
  
  
• Provision of graphic design, musical, photographic and video contacts if desired. (I have no pecuniary interest with these contacts.)
  
  
• A rehearsal at the site of the ceremony.
  
  
• Provision of a high quality public address system, with CD player.
  
  
• Provision of a square table and two chairs, all covered with heavy cream fabric, to be used for the signing of the register.
  
  
  
  
• Completion of all certificates and documentation for lodging with the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
  
  
  
  
• Travel within 20 km for the rehearsal and wedding ceremony, with extra costs for longer distances

I will do whatever is necessary, using all my skills and contacts, to help you plan and enjoy a truly wonderful and personal ceremony. Please note also that I have a network of celebrant colleagues who would be ready to assist in the case of my illness or personal emergency.
